ok so im doing free dyno tuning in the detroit area, i need some before and after pulls to get a job so anyone around detroit within 1.5 hours if you need your car tuned on the dyno i will do it for free

Initially I had the solenoid duty cycle set to zero, but it makes a lot of noise. Setting it to 84% keeps it quiet. I believe it has something to do with the fact that the idle circuit and boost circuit both share the same oscillator. When TPS is below 10%, the oscillator is switched from providing the preferred frequency from the boost circuit to the idle circuit.

I suppose I could try overriding the 10.16% minimum duty cycle to 0% and see if it keeps the solenoid quiet.

Anyone else want to share their GM boost solenoid setup?

do not overide the min duty cycle or you will find yourself buying a new solonoid quickly

Does anyone perchance have the GM part number for the Boost Solenoid? I assume these come from the GM Typhoon or Sonata in the early 90's?

I've been searchin some online GM parts catalogs to no avail. Also looked on Horsepower Freaks site as well and coming up dry... where oh where can I get?

Part #1997152 -- GM Boost Solenoid

I've got an extra GM Boost solenoid harness that you need as well. It's new in the bag, and I'll let it go for $10 shipped. (Compare at $22 at horsepower freaks site).

pengulns2001 - I notice from reading through this thread...you seem to be 'the map' man. If you or someone else happens to have something similar to this configuration below I'd be grateful to get my hands on it.

In ~2weeks I should be be ready hit ignition with the following upgrades:

AEM #1311
GM IAT,GM Boost Solenoid, GM MAP (3 bar)
Two AEM Uego Gauge-type controllers (left&right bank - already been using)
Injectors: RC550's
Turbos: T13 (Rob Beck engineered units which seem something between 13G-15g)
Fuel pump: Denso (Supra) and "hot" wired
AEM FP regulator
Plugs Denso IK24
New OEM plug wires
Intercoolers are still stock
