Is anyone using the AEM to control nitrous. Is there some way to use an AEM to progressily control nitrous?

So basically you can have the AEM do something like: If rpm > 3500 and < 6500, and load is > 5 psi and < 25 psi, and vehicle speed is > 25 MPH then allow nitrous to turn on - but only if TPS is > 90%. Then when TPS falls below 90% turn the nitrous off. You also get a fuel difference map and a timing difference map for when the nitrous is spraying, so you can add X% fuel at each cell on the fuel map, and retard timing X degrees anywhere on the timing map. ...but progressive nitrous: I think you would want a "real" progressive nitrous controller to handle that. The AEM basically can only trigger an output to open your nitrous system solenoid, and there isn't a provision to do pulsewidth-modulation on that output to do progressive control.

Here's a pic from thread #404. I see it now. I assume it replaces the factory MAP sensor on 97+ cars? |
