Rob - I have no clue what it's worth or the specs. It's the solenoid that comes with the AEM ems packages. PM if you want to talk more about it.

Rob
Horsepowerfreaks sells the GM boost solenoid with connector for $38. It's the only GM solenoid listed on their site, it's for a Typhoon I think. (it will come up when you search for parts for a 3/S though, just has that in the description)

horsepowerfreaks.com also sells the complete package if you are interested. I'm not sure if they have a package that includes a WB, but I wouldn't doubt it either.

Horsepowerfreaks has a package with everything you need (including WB) for $1975. There is also a couple of variations of this package if you want to change somethings.

Heres the link: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/view...ms_-_EMS~.html

mjannusch,

Do you have any regrets using the GM components over the AEM components, or would you use one over the other if starting fresh? I am trying to get all the goodies as cheap as possible... and am exploring my avenues I can take. If the AEM sensors are better than I would rather have them...

I would like the following:
AEM EMS
Dual Channel Wideband Controller (maybe single)
Boost Control solenoid (is the GM really ok?)
MAP Sensor (AEM or GM)
IAT Sensor
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor

Also, those who are running the AEM Dual Channel WB02 are you able to Omit the OE O2s all together and run the WBO2 Sensors in the OE location on the Precat Housings? I know some WBO2 kits (IE LM1) are more sensitive to heat and being that close to the turbo apparently cause problems.

I run a single channel AEM wb in the collector in the downpipe. Works perfectly. The GM and AEM IAT sensor are the same thing....exactly the same thing.

I see no problem with the GM bcs. The guy I got my AEM from was running well over 20 pounds with no spikes and holding boost rock steady.

I prefer the AEM map sensor because it goes higher than the GM. Most people would be fine with the GM though.

One other reason that I like the AEM MAP sensor is that it taps directly into the plenum. No vacuum hose that could pop off.

fwiw, I run the W02s (dual chan uego) directly in place of the factory O2s. The directions said to place them something like 16" or 18" downstream from the exhaust port. I had checked out a few other people running WO2 on 3Ss, and found enough people problem free using stock O2 placement, that I figured it's fairly safe.

I wouldn't say I have any regrets with using the GM parts, but I have heard that the AEM ones are a bit more precise. I've never had any issues at all with the GM parts.

I'm running my NGK sensor on the O2 housings. No problems so far. Lots of other people use them on stock O2 housings on various cars, including 3/S cars and I haven't heard of any problems with 'em.
