Anybody using Alky/water injection with AEM?

any info will be appreciated.

I read many post about snowperformance and lightalkysomething water injection kit.
Sounds like there are two ways to controll it: 1. to power width modulate pump power supply 2. juse fast water valve and control it with pwm.

Sounds like the second is better since you not dealing with dynamics of the pump and have constant water line presure.

Any info on using AEM with any alky systems?

Difficult questions to answer with any accuracy. In general on TD04-based turbos you'll see around 380 AWHP at 1 bar, about 480 AWHP around 22psi and not gain a whole lot more above that due to turbine housing restrictions.

You won't get to 2 bar with DR-650's.

Stock internals can take quite a bit of power - more than DR650's can make - provided that the car is tuned well and doesn't get knock/detonation. It is all in the tuning as to whether it works great or starts going through parts.

To me this is good new, I am dreaming about a safe 450 at the wheels and because there is no 4x4 dyno in all of Israel....I have to take your word on that

And seeing that I have the only VR4 in my whole country I have to represent with pride

I hooked a snow Stage 2 MAF injection unit up to read the 0-5 volt out put from the AEM MAP sensor. The snow controler sees the voltage 0-5v from the MAP then turns on the pump so you can adjust the pump to come on at ..say... 8psi and to be full blast for by 14psi.

Ha Ha Ha I thought the guy in Iceland with 1 of the 12 VR4's was pretty brave but the only VR4 in Israel is just nuts. You have a lot of guts. Good luck with it. If you get a gauge tech and set it up properly it can calculate your horsepower on the fly. I think it uses rate of acceration eight of car drag coeffeciency all fed in from the AEM EMS to the gauge tech.

Might as well put them in when you put in the EMS. You aren't making things any easier by staying with the stock injectors.

I will post in the morning. My setup should work for you 99%, i have 97 with GM ait, AeM 3.5bar and stock injectors. It will be easy to change to 780 when you need it. I just put 680cc and conversion from 360cc is very simple.
isyour 3.5bar aem?
