I've been here way too long
|
I bought a conduit bracket from Home Depo I mounted the bracket on the fire wall. I ran a vacume hose from firewall AEM to a vacume nipple on the upper plenum. In the pic below you can see it to the right of my hand. Its a little crooked. I'm going to remove the bracket and mount the bracket with two screws instead of one screw.

I have 3.5 bar, and the MAP wizard does not rescale the map so you will have to do it yourself. The injector change is easy it is just a wizard. I suggest you do not rely on somebody to give you a map since it will be good for start up and get you going. Take a look at the different maps, browse options and get familiar with the interface.

Yes, I have this map sensor
and I should be receiving the air temp sensor by the end of this week...it was on backorder (or so I was told) once I get it everything goes in I know that any map you can get me will need to be modified to my own, but its got to be a better starting place than the one that comes with the AEM. I am using a Greddy boost controller that is not hooked up to the AEM, but I understand that the gm map sensor will sense the amount of air going in and adjust fuel accordingly....with the boost compensation map, right? but I was scoring the instruction and still cant find this boost comp map to make adjustments. and two quick questions 1) Aprox how much awhp will the car be at 1 bar, 22 psi & 2 bar? 2) How much hp can the stock internals really take? What it does it adds % of fuel vs boost. Why you need it...You don't, but it allows to get rough fuel map quick (the idea is that every 1 bar you need extra 100% of fuel, so once you map 0 relative presure fuel map for 0-8000rpm you can populate other Presure rows with the same values and you have rough fuel map.) My goal is not to get rough fuel map dialed in the shortest period of time so the boost comp is not that important. But the main advantage boostcompensation gives is that it levels the fuel map for low and high loads so you have good resolution at high loads and even greater at low. |
