Mark, are we ready for AEM hookup yet? You stock injectors and fuel lines are in place still? we could hookup aem and make it idle at least until you get your fuel system from AAM

That target map looks very coarse to me, and too lean around 0 psi at lower rpms. You also have very tall changes in A/F ratio in cells next to each other. I think Antero's target map looks very good... Transitions are pretty smooth and the targets look acceptable to me.

EMS holds only one fuel, ign and boost map. You can play with boost level controlled by a switch changing the target boost....Not sure how usefull it is since you can't change main boost duty map. You need to tune boost inegral control for both boost levels at the same time which may be tricky. I think the way to do it is not to use main boost duty map at all or set it set value across the board. Anybody successfully used AEM boost control functionality. I am using only main duty map at this point and it works to a certain degree, but not a flat boost line. |

there is definitely one fuel, ign map. It would be nice to have more than one.One way to get around it to alter fuel for race gas is to connect variable resistor to the EGT input and and configure the EGT/Fuel Adj graph to add/remove % fuel. But this is across the board just % adj. You can make a switch (open/close), or a resistor for more fine adjustments. If you are racing at the track you just need to load your altered 'racegas map' and be done with it. |

well what if someone where to create and tune two maps seperately fromn each other, say one map tuned at 15psi, and once it was tuned that person saved it to the laptop. and then tuned another map for 22psi. could that person load the 15psi map and drive around town, and then drove to the track load the 22 psi map. and do the track night, and then load back up the 15psi map and drive home?

I've never seen two completely seperate timing/fuel maps in the AEM that you can toggle between. Most likely TorqueFreaks was planning on doing what I've described here, or similar. |
