The AEM comes with a 9pin serial cable. If your notebook doesn't come with a 9pin serial port, then you'll need a belkin usb to serial adapter. Those cheap ebay usb to serial adapters don't work well.

AEM EMS has the ability to automatically make adjustments to your fuel map. I've set up the O2 FB Target MAP (table) with my desired AFR. O2 FB Control is checked on. So the question now becomes, does the AEM EMS actually modify the values stored in the fuel map, or does it apply a fuel trim of some sort?
Instead of chaning msecbit why don't you look at o2 readings? msecbit just help to achive better fuel map resolution when the high fuel map is close to 240

Ya where ever you can find the belkin version, including radio shack. It'll be pricey.

After searching the aem website, and consulting the AEM online manual it appears I was wrong about the automapping. They have a seperate Fuel Target map. No idea why they would make another table to fill in since it'll be the same as the O2 FB Target map. O2 FB control must be turned off in order to perform the automapping. Wish me luck, I'll try automapping out tomorrow.

I would appreciate if you guys take look at my test run. I attached PC and internal logs.
First of all boost falling in the first gear faster then in third because the demand increase quicker.
And second thing i noticed is that A/F in the first gear is less stable then in 3rd because of fast condition changes.
I can't find anything in AEM to alter the fuel based the gear or rpm/car speed.

AEM, 3.5bar , GMsolenoid boost control, stock injectors.

I'm using the IOGear USB - Serial converter. It's small and works pretty good.. I think it was ~40ish?

I know the AEM controls the check engine light, but does it control the anti-lock light too? I've had this appear twice on me today while tuning, so I can't dismiss it as a fluke anymore.

Nope, AEM doesn't have anything to do with it.

Thanks for the info mjannusch.

I could confidently tune alone with my pocketlogger screaming when knock occurred, but what strategy can we use with the AEM? Is there anyway we could reconfigure our check engine light to flash when our knock voltage is too high?

Configure it to turn the CE light on when Knock Retard > 1 degree or something along those lines.
