You might want to try setting MAP Filter to 1 to see if that helps. It'll average the MAP sensor values over the time it takes for however many crank teeth you set it to. I use 0, with a GM 3-bar MAP connected to the small nipple on the back of the plenum by the brake booster connection and throttle body and haven't seen the "noise" that you are.

If you have your MAP sensor connected on the end of the plenum at the clutch booster connection, there tends to be more pressure fluctuation there (and generally reads higher boost as well, I've noticed).
Good idea about the FILTER settings.
I have the AEM 3.5 map connected to the small nipple close to brake booster (a couple inches from throttle). about 8" vacume line, nothing else connected to the nipple only MAP.
I looked at the frequency and it is two times slower then RPM , so it is related. My thoughts are that cyclinder intake fases drops the boost (at 5.5K the difference webween mountain and valey are 4psi !!!).
Looks like it is mechanical issue and not electrical. I wanted to try to attach longer hose to the map to try to filter air presure flactuations.

anybody else have AEM 3.5 bar and example of internal log?
PC log also shows 'noise' in the load but as much because of the refresh rate.

quick question:..

i just recently got a CEL.. i pulled the code and it points to a bad O2 sensor..

if i was to have to change the O2 sensor, would it matter if i replaced it with a wideband O2 sensor instead of a stock narrowband?..

i plan on getting an AEM EMS one day down the line (actually its my next major upgrade after i finish up with my current mods), so i was wondering if i could get a headstart with this O2 sensor...

firstly, is this a good decision?.. and secondly, if i was to do this, what all would i have to consider?..

You can replace main o2 sensor(s) with wideband, but you will need to feed 'narrow o2 signal' from the wb o2 controller to the stock ECU. i think it would make sense to buy dual WB.
The only issue i see is that main o2 sensors are before turbo and the wideband sensors are not recomended there, they have to be down the line.
Sounds like you would need to weld o2 bung(s) in order to put wb.

thx..

if i replace it soon, i'll just go with a narrowband.. but if i wait long enough, i could just change it out with a wb when i go with a full AEM setup..

I'm using the dual-channel widebands in the factory location with the narrowband outputs going to the stock ecu. No problems so far, I guess I may be decreasing the life of the sensors though.

I think i found the fix to my MAP sensor 'noise'. RC filter solved majority of the issue.
Since my reading are more stable now i notice the AFR ration is closer to 12AFR instead of 11.5.

will i get better result tuning car (stock turbos) to 11.5 or 12.00 afr (94 octane)??
