*When hooking up the duel band uego I only have to use the 5v wires to pin 55 & 56, right...dont even have to connect the 1v wires? *I will cut the wire for the active exhaust, will it still work manually from the button on the dash or is it rendered completely un-usable? I plan on doing the installation in two stages. First just install the ems "plug&played" together with the uego dual sensor. Get the car up and running properly with 10 psi of boost. Get used to the system and tune it as best I can. Then in a few weeks, I have the 3.5 bar & iat sensors and 750cc injectors that I will swap in - up the boost and only need to do some re-tuning. My Mods: DR650's HKS Intercoolers & i/c pipes Greddy type S bov profec b type II boost controller hotwired supra fuel pump AEM fpr Larger fuel rails Stock injectors * No egr No cats 3" downpipe Stock exhaust (to be replaced soon)

As far as UEGO you are correct. You only connect 5V outputs. 1V is retrofit UEGO to stock ECU. Active exhaust. If you are cutting wire at ECU i would say the button should work. Installing EMS with MAF = waste of time. Install 3.5map sensor, you just need to connect vacume line to it and 3 wires (two go to TPS sensor = Ground and +5V) and one to the EMS. You can install IAT into stock y-pipe, you just leave it in the engine bay for now if you are planning to get y-pipe. THere is not much fuel correction based on airtemp and you will be ok for start. IAT connects to MAF connector. Like i said connect Map and IAT and just disconnect MAF , you can remove it later. You will also need timing light, laptop. GOod luck with EMS. |

I put EMS with stock injectors so i can play around with EMS , learn and get used to it and try to make the car run like stock. Since the car ran good on stock ECU I was expecting to make it run the same on EMS without excuses and it runs like a stock. Now I bought 750PTE and putting them on in a couple weeks. Unless you are skilled and experienced tuner upgrading one part at a time makes it easier to tune and troubleshoot. My wideband gives me upto 2AFR difference between front and rear bank under vacume, under boost the banks are pretty close (0.3afr). I already swapped the o2sensors and o2controller channels and rulled out the uego controller and sensors. My front bank is leaner under vacume big time. I posted the question but did not see any reply with the same issue. I think it either my stock injectors have issues or people with single UEGO does not know about it. So i hope to get answers after installing new injectors. I have a pretty good map for stock setup you probably will need to adjust timing sync. what year is the car? |

Related question the the board...
Putting PTE750 which should flow something aroudn 720. Currently running 360. Instead of making injector change in the fuel map and rescalling it looks like better way is to change MicroSecBit . i have 40 now and will change it to 20. Thoughts? |
