The AEM base map is really just a start up map. Its designed to get your engine running so you can tune it. What kind of injectors are you going to run?

So with the AEM , I wont need my SAFC II , BLITZ id or datalogger. Can I use my GReddy O2 sensor that came with my warning meter? Does the AEM allow me to raise my rev limit?

You can set any rev limit you want. The Check engine light which is no longer used can be set as a shift light.

I'm not sure about the Greddy O2 but I do know it can read the AEM wide band O2.and some other brands

Also if you are going to run an AEM EMS you might want to save this link for the future.

the greddy is a narrowband 02, so its pretty much useful only for the pretty lights.

Actually, the latest basemaps are quite good, just a bit conservative on the timing and overrich with fuel. Anyone telling you otherwise is probably someone you should NOT be listening to, as that is what you WANT in a basemap, since neither hurt the engine and you can add timing and pull fuel as needed once you get the car to the dyno in one piece. I am sick to fucking death of all the "tuners" out there criticising something they have no clue about. The EMS is a precision piece of equipment. IMO if you dont know anything about engine management, DONT PLAY WITH IT. Find and pay a qualified person who does know what they are doing and you will be quite happy with the results. Once the car is tuned and running properly you can then learn at your own pace.

I should have ordered one long ago. I would love to eliminate all the piggybacks. I will get engine running after rebuild before attemting install. I will order egt probes so I can install them before I put engine in.
With the AEM do all accesories work? ( AC,cruise,radiator-ac fan, retractable hardtop, ect,,)

It does not support 1gen active exhaust. The roof on a spyder is not operated buy the stock ecu. So it should be fine. Thier is another member running an AEM and a spyder. The other acces. should all work fine. Your check engine light is no longer functional and can be used as a shift light.

I debated this for a long time as well. Personally I don't think it will make a diff either way.

With the Alky before the IAT you will "sence" the temp drop the other way around you will not. I was going to put my alky down by the outlet of my FMIC for better atomization so I would not have to worry about the IAT.... however then you vent alky mist through the BOV into the engine bay.
