I seem to keep overboosting with my GM Typhoon Boost solenoid. I have the silver nipple on the solenoid going to the y-pipe and the black nipple (on the side with the foam covered nipple) going to the WG's. Is this hooked up properly? Otherwise it's an issue with my AEM config. My Boost Control options are set to:

W/G output "checked"
Boost from Load "checked"
W/G invert "checked"
Freq. = 31Hz (I Heard this should be set to 19.5 Hz with the GM Soleniod True/false?)
Idle pw TPS = 25%
Boost duty max = 85%
Boost Duty Min = 10%
Fuel Cut Load = 14 PSI

No matter what my Base WG Duty map is set to (I've tried 0,10, 30, 80, and 100), I see my fuel cut @ 14 PSI. I want to only run about 6PSI until I figure out the AEM a little better. Anyone know what is causing this?

I had Penguins send me map but I'm trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. He seems to have the WG invert unchecked and the duty map to 99.6. Is the invert option what was causing me to overboost?

Dave, Go to AEM electronics forum and do a search there. Some one should know with your odd harness setup.

When I have my foot off of the throttle it's at -14.69 psi and depending on how far I push the throttle it goes up/down.

Does this mean that my map sensor doesn't work? I assume that it should read atmospheric pressure when the engine is off correct?

I'm having troubles starting my car (my base timing won't sync properly, it keeps "walking") so I can't tell you how it acts with the car on.

thx for any help
Did you find out what was wrong? I found that on v1.19 you have to goto Setup -> Sensors-> MAP->options and set "Map Analog Input" to MAP Voltage instead of MAP as Load. Let me know if this helps.

Yeah the map sensor's green wire goes to pin 73 on the 2nd gen wire harness. I just ran a new wire from my map sensor the the AEM's harness just to ensure that there was no other "noise" from anything else that may be reading the EGR's old wire.

These same questions seem to be all over this thread so here is a quick cheat sheet for anyone wondering:
******************************************************************
This is for the 2nd Gen wire harness only!

MAP Sensor
red wire- tap into green/yellow on TPS
Black wire - tap into black TPS wire
Green wire - run all the way to pin 73 on the AEM

AIT Sensor
Doesn't matter which wire goes where but 1 goes to the Black wire on MAF connector and the other goes to the red wire w/ blue stripe on the MAF sensor

Wideband O2 signal wire goes to AEM pin 76

GM Boost Solenoid
+ to 12v switched (if you look closely there is a + sign on the GM soleniod
- to PW2 pin on AEM (can't remember the pin number)

i just got my aem ems installed today as well and installed the ait, map, oil pressure, and wideband uego into it. Only thing i havnt done is figure out where i want to put the power wire on the wideband. Anyone have any ideas as to why aem doesnt want you to put the ground to the chassis, and only to the battery????

Note: i also just grounded all the sensors (map, oil, and ait) to pin 72 i believe, which according to aem's pinout is sensor ground, and its an output. I checked resistance through this pin and its actually the same black wire that runs to the maf harness. 111 for oil, and 53 i think, cant remember, for map (91-93 model car)

-Im about to try and load a map on tonight to see what happens...anything i should know about it before hand, im using 780cc pte injectors...anyone have some rough sketch maps would be awesome. Also running single t66 turbo
