I think it is because most of the development probably happens on the ProEFI end (or whatever the original standalone product was in Europe that the AEM is based from).

The package contents are right in the item descriptions:

1) AEM EMS for 3000GT

2) FJO Wideband o2 Kit
or AEM Wide-band without display
or AEM Wide-band with Black/Black display (please call to specify another color of gauge)

3) 3.5 Bar AEM or 3.0 bar GM MAP Sensor and connector
4) Intake Air Temp Sensor & Connector
5) GM Boost Control Solenoid and connector

If I was going to recommend one, I'd go with AEM EMS, AEM dual wideband, 3.5 bar AEM MAP sensor. That's the third item in their list and goes for $2120.00 special price.

Thank you. I was not sure what Black/Black display means. I emailed sales@hor...
How about EGT? Do I need two? I am thinking about 2 egt but do not want to be crowded with gauges (two egt, o2, boost.....)
What do you guys suggest? what to use full time and what for just tunning

Is there a way to interface a Greddy EGT with an AEM EMS?

You mean so you could log egt or set up a threshold?(like when egt hits 1,100 C it would make changes in fueling or ignition timing) I would think the first is viable, the latter I am not sure.

Right now the only type of EGT sensor that the AEM EMS will accept uses an RTD type probe. AEM sells one and it works well for me. Most EGT gauges use a K-type thermocouple probe (I'm sure the Greddy is the same) and, as of right now, there is no way to use one with the AEM EMS. There is someone on the AEM board that is working on a controller box that would allow the use of K-type probes with the EMS.

On the second point, you can adjust fueling based on EGT's if you have a compatible EGT probe.

Do they make a RTD sensor that could be attached to the AEM directly without attaching another gauge. Like installing a map sensor directly to the AEM ? That's probably just a stupid question . I already have a greddy gauge so I don't need another display.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. The unit AEM sells is a probe that connects directly to the EMS. It has no gauge of its own.

Ok people with EMS.....I have a questions for you which i can't not find the answers for.
Do you use AEM two extra 0-5V inputs?
I was thinking to build cheap K-type EGT sensor converter to 0-5V output and connect (cheap Ktype EGT sensors) to extra AEM input. So i am not sure if those inputs are commonly used for something..
And second question, can the AEM be configured to use those two inputs for EGT vs the build-in EGT(RTD) inputs?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
