Default AEM Ultimate Resource Thread>>>>

First off I do not have much to contribute to this, but feel after all this time we should have enough to make the AEM a more adopted mod. For the past few weeks, I have been considering going the AEM ECU route.

I would like to have those who are in the know post your info here, everything from installation to tuning to posting other resource links; pics very welcome too. Also Maps or information regaurding 3s specific Maps would also be appreciated.

If this is the wrong place or there is a thread like this already existing please advise and I will delete this thread.

I personally vote get your car going before even going this route.... Once it is going and you know you don't have a million and one problems you wouldn't of been able to tell b/c you couldn't get your car running b/c of the aem...

Amen. But I wouldnt consider my car balls to the wall by any stretch... if that is what you meant

As for the AEM install, I would only want to pursue it if there was a good starting MAP.... much like that of the OE ECM Maps. I dont know if I misread some things lately, but I THINK I have read there be some good maps flying around.

If you had one that was a winner, for a any certain combo.... I dont think it would be unreasonable to Market your maps as well.

Nah wasn't sayin your particular car was balls to the wall :P however I know for a fact that AEM has a map for a stock car out for people to use as a base for beginning.

there are also plenty of people out there including myself that will give you a better map to get your car going and probably going pretty damn well, i have maps for cars anywhere from stock to 1000CC injectors and monster turbos, i even have a few talon maps

the aem is a huge resource in diagnosing problems too, piggy back add up after a while and if your considering going with this to start i would buy it before wasting money on piggy backs

it replaces all piggy backs, its a full engine management system, fuel, ignition, boost, start up, idle, 2-step, map conversions it lets you do pretty much whatever you want the the motor, im not sure you could use it for a turbo timer but ive never tried you do have control over extra inputs and outputs so if you could start a timer in the program i dont see why not

damn sounds badass. I am finally getting my car running. I have to buy a fuel controller and boost controller and a few other things. I should just go with this, however i heard it is a bitch to use. Is that true?
