Exclamation AEM EMS.. CEL as a Knock light

Just wanting to know .. can the AEM be configured to do this .. use your CEL as a knock indicator on the VR4..? Because i find this:

Using AEMPRO press Control-O, find LS10 ALTSWT. Set the value to ON.

Find LS10 SWITCH, set the value to SWITCH #7 ON.

GO to SWITCH #7 ANALOG IN, set the value to KNOCK #1.

Move down the SWITCH #7 ON ABOVE, and set that value to whatever voltage your knock retard table starts pulling timing.

I don't know if this would work on a VR4..

Has anyone tried this yet? I'm interested to know if it works! If my car was running I'd try it on my own but I'm a couple weeks out still.

I think_ not sure_ but by the time the AEM ems sees the first Knock Table volt event and triggers the CEL, the time span is too short to light it up long enough for the human brain to register it. Look at the difference in Knock events shown between the internal Logger and when logging on the laptop.

I have done this before, that is not what i did to do it. You have to set your not threshhold on how many volts of knock it will take to trigger the cel light. You have to go to configure and options to get to that screen. i can walk some of you guys through it if you want
