I know how to use that option, I have maybe 200 discussions that I have used this tool! But in this thread it allow us to show our interest to M. Dorris! The more people showing interest to the product, the more chance we have to get it done sooner.
I think M. Dorris need to be aware of the potential market he's having with the 3/S platform. I had the chance to talk to him (via email) and draw his attention that we are over 30,000 members here and his Package would be very very appreciated by the community.

This is one of the threads that interest needs to be expressed in rather than lurking. Subscribed...
I'm not sure that's the case. It seems to me like the expressing of interest was already done in the old thread. Here in the Advanced Tech forum doesn't seem like the right place for gathering interest. Also, I believe he specifically said he was creating this new thread because the old one was so cluttered and out of control.
I think we've already established that there's a lot of us that are very interested in this (myself included). He's already made the decision to complete it.
Since I'm posting anyway, I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for their efforts on this.

wrong, he said that because the direction of the thread had been completly changed and the thread title and first few post were completely misleading as to where the project is going.
And I agree that people chimming in will help show there is continued intrest in the product. as for disapointment on e-mail notifications, turn them off. best choice i made, set aside 5 min a day to check the thread to see if it updates. it shows up in you User CP if it has been updated
To start with, Thomas, thanks for continuing along with this.

But if I can get money together for an AEM or if JBA's idea of swapping in a later model flash ECU works out, I'll kick my Techtom to the curb and not look back.
When this hits the market, if we haven't figured out the ECU swap, I'll sell/toss the other ECU and go with one of these.

Actually, I use the ISC settings on my evo tune quite a bit. I'd want that table and any modifier tables for temps and/or rpms to stay. We could always hack out the 8/16 bit switching and run full-time in one mode, and/or find some other things to try to drop to get more space. I'd say I've played with about 15, maybe 18 tables tuning the evo, and they all have a use.

That'd be pretty awesome. Wastegate duty cycle and boost error correction are going to be the tables to look for or create. We could even do gear-based boost by taking the same concept as the evo uses on the Tephra v7 rom. Who wants to buy my AVC-R?

I'd absolutely agree and recommend we go with a regular ECUFlash tuning package since it's free and easy to match up with any new maps/definitions we find. And I agree Colby is a genius too.
When you look at what other cars are doing with reflashable/reprogrammable ECU's (Ford, Chevy, Hondas, Subarus, EVOs, etc) you realize that the 3/S platform is in the stone age. I think this is a very important development.

I've already got my car running on 550s. It starts and runs great, most of the time anyway. For some unknown reason, it'll occasionally fire up and run super lean at idle. Once it gets out of the warmup phase, it calms down a bit.
I haven't done much of any fine tuning or boost tuning because it's such a hassle to mess with the chips on the Techtom board. The scramble tool Thomas posted is a help, but I still need $350 worth of emulators, and I don't really want to make that investment right now.
Regardless of that, the car has been getting me to and from work without issue for a couple weeks now. I'm just limiting it to 8psi right now
