I just bought lawdoggs girlfriends car a 92 r/t tt and I am having some issues with the turbo timer and greddy boost controler. They worked the day I bought the car and the day after but after I swapped out the red insides to my other 92 r/t n/a black insides they no longer work. I checked everything over but they still do not power up. I double checked all the wires to make sure nothing came unpluged and all was good. I checked the voltage going to the meters and they read 13.67 at idle. Since this is my first tt I really don't want to screw it up as it is in pritty good shape.
Anyone local to Wilkes-Barre/scranton area? I need someone that has set this stuff up before as I don't have any experiance with this type of shit. I will gladly pay good money to who ever can figure it out. I will even bring the car to you or you can come to my down in shavertown by hillside farms road.

Don't worry about the turbo timer, they are unnecessary to start with. The boost controller should only have a positive and a ground wire to deal with and probably a vacuum line. First off, check the fuses, its possibly that when removing panels that something shorted and caused a fuse to go bad, (above left knee in drivers side)
If you know the model number of the timer/boost you can always download new instructions off the web for it if you can find them. OR you can post a question regarding that particular unit here on 3si and someone will answer you.

George I'm sorry they just stopped working for you.
They worked without issue for us ... and I can't think of what could have happened unless some cord was pulled or disconnected somehow with the interior swap. I'd help you out if you were just a little closer!Did the turbo timer work when you got home after leaving Williamsport? fwiw, it's a Greddy profec-a boost controller and an HKS type II turbo timer, I think.

Ryan I beleive it was something on my part or the guys I hired to help me. I have no reason what so ever to think otherwise and even if they are bad it no big deal because shit happens and I am exstremly happy with it. Like I said I can't beleive it didn't sell sooner. I can't say how much I need to thank both you and Karla but thank you again and yes everything worked till we did the inside work to the car like swap the carpet and sets. I will update once I get home from work.s

I found a Profec-A manual:
http://greddy.com/img/PHP/products/pdf/688.pdf And apparently HKS doesn't have manuals online. But the turbo timer is pretty straight forward - should plug into a harness, and has a ground. Maybe one of the screws holding the interior down had a common ground on it? |

Cool thanks Ryan. I didn't even think about looking up the manual on them, lol. Thanks. I'll figure it out and let ya know what it was. I also found for some reason the radio's fused ignition positive was dead even with the car on so some things may have got fubar'ed and no one that I hired to help me didn't told me about it.

Just went out and started looking around and noticed the one peice of molding that makes the bottom corner maybe 6-8 inches long wasn't screwed in and that is were eveything was grounded to. So I screwed it back in and grounded off of it and it all works as normal now so the problem was the common ground that both units use. Thanks for the help Ryan and Warlock.
