Default Boating in PA

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I have been seriously considering buying a boat. We will most likely get a used boat, we plan to use it for skiing, wakeboarding and just spending time with our closest friends and family. But I am not sure where the best places to use it around here are. I live in West Chester.

I am looking for anything within 1 hour of me. So far I have found these locations.
  • Schuylkill Canal in Phoenixville
  • Blue Marsh Lake outside of Reading
  • Delaware River in Philly

Thanks
Andrew

I've been to Blue Marsh, it's pretty big but I was in a sailboat and all the wakes from the power boats made it real choppy. You sure now is the time to get a power boat with current gas prices?

I went with my friend to someplace on the chesapeake last summer. I'm sorry I cant be more specific but I've got to imagine that there are tons of boat launches along the chesapeake/feeding rivers within an hour.

Also I bet there are some boat launches for the christina river. When I used to row on that river we would pass boats more towards newark.
