I have seen where some of the matte/satin black cars are actually vinyl wraps.
I like that idea.
I could wrap my CF hood and have the option to take it off later.
I was reading on a website when I was researching these paint jobs. Apparently Lambo added talc to the paint to achieve the effect ( dunno if its true?). Apparently it has a pearlescent quality in person too.
I also seen a brighter blue matte, it was on a caddy Jesse James sold at Barrett Jackson. If I'm not mistaken it was House of Color. I will see if I can come up with pictures of it.
I understand that there is a difference in the actual paint jobs. But the looks of both are defined as being "dull in appearance". That is what I was pointing out.

Grant
Pearlecent quality is not "dull in appearance. Matte can still have a shine.
I saw the matte white on a Gallardo Spyder the other day, looks just plain sexy. Very nice, clean and dare I say it . . . somewhat understated. It's just a neat effect on the vehicle.
I believe that new grey is called Battleship Grey or something like that. My buddy has a few Gallardo Superleggeras in his shop right now and one of them is that color.
