Friend: Hey. When did you get a 3000GT?
Me: I didn't. It's just an Eclipse with a body kit.
Friend: Wow, that's the nicest looking Eclipse I have ever seen.
Me: Yeah it is. That body kit cost me like 10K.
Friend: Holy shit. It looks great though.
*walks to the back of the car*
Friend: You lying bastard. It is a 3000GT.

when people refer to a 3000gt or a stealth as their "3si" is when you know you are speaking to a Noob (at least on here)

As in: "what's the best way to pull the engine out of my 3si?"
"how do i winterize my 3si?"
and so on.

in the 90s i had a 1995 Saturn SL2 with a Saturn Performace +21HP Kit, this would of theoretically raised the base line HP at the crank from 125 to 146HP so

maybe pushing the full 105-110hp to the rear wheels. I kept the car clean, but left everything in it, and for years beat the piss out of the car.

you would be amazed what a Saturn could do, before you blow the Diff pin, and or the transmission valve body . There was one night i actually had 5 people in my car, almost bottoming the suspension out, and managed to accelerate to 65mph rapidly enough that my buddy in the back, said man this cars got some balls. 13 years of ownership, ditched it when the oil consumption went from 1 quart a week to a case of oil a week LOL.

all in all it was a GM abortion but still sporty and fun. would of kept pace with my SL no problem especially off the line.

Alright alright, I hate to embarras my buddy like this but you know what I'm sorry I have to share my story, he also drives a mustang, 95 5.0 Stang, lots of work done to it. But pretty much everything he reads out of mustang magazine he gets done, full exhaust, gearing, cams, ported throttle body, pretty quick car I'd say high 13's, he not the best driver however or it could be much quicker.

This is a rescent phone call conversation:

Him: Hey I was reading through this magazine and I found something that guaruntees up to 50hp or your money back.

Me: Uhh is it called nitrous?

Him: No I'm not retarded to get that, its called alcohol injection kit, they give around 40-60hp, they guaruntee up to 50hp or your money back. I don't know why you wasted all that money on nitrous, you could've bought this kit for less than $300. I think I'm going to order it.

Me: Uh huh, when exactly did you start boosting your car?

Him: What?

Me: Yeah alky injection lets you boost higher on turbo/supercharged applications, inject alcohol achieve cooler temps so you can run higher boost levels, add more fuel, equaling more power like 50hp from 5-6 more psi.

Him: Oh well whatever I can use it for when I supercharge my car then.

Me: Alright great go ahead and buy it then (Thinking in my head what a dumbass.)

we had a vr-6 v-dub pull into the shop to get some work on it. me and my buddy stand in front of it and i ask him if he knows what vr-6 stands for....he says it stands for a v6 and then somehow he managed to tell me how the vr4's i always talk about are just v4's.....at that point i just walked away.

most of the times you have to realize you already won and walk away...
but no thats not the best !!!

i was screwing around with my one friend who isnt the most intelligent car guy out there. i bring him over to a computer and show him that kalco website. he looks at the cross drilled brake lines and asks me what color cross drilled brake lines would look better on his truck, red or yellow ?

friend of mine had a fairly stock 1g dsm back in the day, and had some intent of throwing a 16g on it. brought the car out one night to the usual hangout, popped the hood, and placed the 16g next to the manifold. he then proceeded to wow the townies by showing off his 'twin turbo' dsm.
that's some straight up customizing right there.

When I first got my VR-4 a guy I know argued with me for about 10 minutes on how my car was a V8 not a 6 with TT. He didn't believe me until i showed him the front 3 cylinders and turbo. That's my amazing story. Oh and a guy who was bragging about beating a cavalier
