Default You Know Your Speaking To a Noob when...

whats the funniest thing you've ever heard coming from the mouth of another person asking about your car or bragging about theirs?

Here's a few that have occured within the last month

i was rebuilding my motor in my SL and a few kids at school didnt believe me so i take them over to my dads shop during lunch and show them the motor. one kid who drives a civic si goes
him: whoa i thought u said that this is a DOHC motor?
me: it is? look..
him: um no i see 4 cam shafts
me: well yah its a v6 with dual overhead cams
him: well no its gotta be a dual dual overhead cammed motor bc there's 4
me: umm sure? (just not wanting to argue)
--------------------------------------------

so im out at the local street races and a kid comes up wanting to race my SL. he drives a piece of shit cavalier with a fart can.
him: is ur 3000 stock?
me: well yah basically just a rebuilt motor, downpipe and an intake
him: no turbos?
me: nope its only an SL
**so we race and im smashing him by about 5 cars, i could have kept walking but i let off*
him: what the fuck dude? u said u didnt have turbos!
me: i dont look (pop the hood of my car)
me: see now turbos no nothing
him: well what is that? thats a fucking intercooler
me: um no that would be my radiator

Yeah, I don't aknowledge the people that tell me stupid shit that isn't true about my car. It's not worth my time, and they'll still be dumb afterwards.

The only inncoent comment they can make is "is that a VR4"? Then my answer depends on the person asking me the question.

The guy's mustang would have looked good if he didn't do that to it but spent money on a custom dual exhaust on the cheap at a muffler shop that just bends generic pipe in house and welds it in instead of the oversized POS tips he put on it. Then add GT or Cobra wheels and tint the glass deep.

He should pose as a V8 mustang instead of a Nissan Skyline.

i dont get approached that often about my car, maybe im not a very nice person..i dont know. but, i had the bumper off in the parking lot this past weekend pulling out the AA. some kid in an older camaro stopped and asked why i had 2 extra radiators in my fender wells. i was busy so i just hollered over my shoulder "they're intercoolers!". thats my story.

Wow a lot of you guys have an elitist attitude, yeah some people are dumb and no matter what you tell them they still think they are right. Sometimes people want to learn and have the courage to ask a question even if they think they know the answer. At one time i didn't know anything about car but in the last few years i have learned a decent amount from asking questions, what happened if the next time you asked a question on here every one either called you stupid of ignored you.
