Does anyone have HID fog lights here?
I'm trying to decide to go with either 55 watt yellow H3 fog light bulbs or a 3000K fog light HID H3s. Supposedly yellow doesn't reflect back at you because of the longer wave length. I've already purchased a 4300K HID kit for my main headlights and these might be too bright in certain conditions (snow blizzard, foggy / rainy night) and running fog lights alone might improve driving in those conditions. I drive alone in dark county roads and the poor lighting from our 1st gen cars don't make the task easy. Upgrading to e-Code Hella H4 headlamps and using HIDs helped out a tremendously, but now I need help in the fog light department. |

I've seen a few to put HID's in the fog lights, but I think it's mostly cosmetic (to match the headlights). Although I'm sure they DO get more light output by having the two sets of HID's.
Myself, I want to get 4300k for the low beams and 3000k for the fogs.. my car is pearl yellow, and I think the 3000k in the fogs would look great.

Yeah I've been wondering the same about purchasing HID fogs and how much of a difference they will make.

look up deftspyder. him and I kinda pioneered the use of HIDs here in Socal 3/S land, and he upgraded his fogs a while back (as well as his low beams) to HID. i think he can burn paint off cars now.

I have matching hid fog lights on my car, around 6k i believe. I angled the fogs up a little more than their stock angle and they light EVERYTHING up. I love it, specially since my eye sight is shit at nightime.
Here is a picture of the car at nightime, sorry i dont have any shots of the light it puts off in front of the car. ![]()

Bill @ Deftracing is about the best source of info on HiD's for our cars outside of Macky. I'd search out his HiD thread.

putting proper HID projectors in the low beam position will help cut down on reflected glare better than yellow fogs.
