Default Re: Is it worth upgrading fog lights to HID also?

Installing HID projectors on 1st gen pop up headlight is an extremely difficult task, and I'll pass on that option.

I've driven on some foggy drizzling rainy nights with fog lights only as the halogen headlights reflected back too much light back at me, not that his occurs often but in some circumstances it worked out better. Now that I have upgraded to HIDs, I speculate it might reflect more light back at me. I just wanted to hear someone say "Yes, HID foglights is the answer to my problem", or "No, HID foglights at 3000K aren't yellow enough, etc and regular yellow fog light bulbs are a better choice for this problem".

I'll see how this thread progresses.

blah blah yea old thread, but im thinking about getting HID for my 1st gen, has anyone done this? My main concern is will there be a place to mount the ballasts? Im getting 6k for my headlights and since every cunt and their mother has yellow fogs I was looking to get 12k fogs...

eventually ill be getting 6000K low beams and 6000k fogs as well
I'm still trying to figure out what non-HID bulb I should get for my high beams

btw, cheap HIDs that I've heard are GREAT...... yes i know... they sound too cheap to be true, but to each his own.

Thats the 70 shipped ones right? Those are actually what I am ordering. I saw some 12ks today and im pretty convinced its gonna look hot in the place of fogs
although i still dont know if there will be room for a ballast in there??
