Default window regulator questions

Ok so I have a 97 I was between what ive been told and the research I need a 97-99 regulator my question is what changed between the years? If its just the plug for electrical then screw that i will find a way around it,

So does a 91-96 regulator bolt in and connect to the window? Or did they actually change the design of the window or door too? I just can't come up with 200 bux to buy a new regulator when I see the older ones go for like 25 on ebay all the time.

I believe the mounting brackets are different. The old style ones won't bolt into a newer car.

BTW - Could you point me to the $25 ones on ebay?

Wow they are all expensive now but im positive I have seen them start bidding at $15-$25 for the 91-96 regulators or else I wouldnt have made this thread to begin with. Things change on ebay all the time though.

Yeah, I've seen them start that cheap but they almost never sell that cheap.
