No 265 wide 19" tire is a good fit, it will either be too short or too tall. 255/35 is a good fit and about as tall as you can go at an even 26" with the stock struts.

I had 265/35 on my 5zigen 18 by 8.5 and they worked awsome. But ok even with 255 on 19's think they would rub with lowering springs?

As Jason stated 255/35/19 is right at 26 inches tall. Stock is 25.7.

Your 265/35/18's were actually shorter than stock too.

Also, seeing that you are a 1g, might i suggest 18's over 19's? 18's fit the pointier 1g nose better and dont over power the car.

thanx, btw i had kyb struts and tein lowering springs, till a car tboned me. anyway thanx for those specks. So, lowering the car won't really be necessary to close the wheel gap if I have 19 by 255/35's ?

appreciate it.

255/35/19's are going to fill the wheel well only slightly more. 3 tenths of an inch total taller isnt much. A nice drop never hurt these cars. I love my drop.

Heres my 99 with 19's and 255/35 tires.

And this is an indirect pic of my car at the ECG and you can see that you wouldnt want any taller of a tire or youd rub like crazy.
