Default What convertible top frame did R. Straman use for the Stealth?

I need to have a minor repair done to the top on my Straman Stealth convertible. I am positive the frame and top is simply a modified "factory" convertible frame and top from another vehicle.

My question is, does anyone KNOW what make and model the convertible top and frame was, that R. Straman used for the Stealth convertible he produced?

Please don't just say I should "contact him". He's long retired, and I understand he doesn't answer "technical" questions anymore.

Specifically where do I look, to determine what this top really is? I have looked in the "obvious" places. And I have gone through what literature and articles I have on the car, in case it was mentioned. It isn't.

Once I know, I can just order the part for "that" model.

Ouch, that's the downside of having a rare option car.

it looks a lot like a mustang top. Find a mustang and measure them against each other.

Liu Kang also has one, he might know.

As for looks, I really think Straman might have used the top from a 1991-1995 Ferrari 348 Spider, and just modified the rear window part.

Take a look.

Or possibly the old Vette.

I'd say the 'Vette is a good guess, although it needs to be confirmed. The Ferrari one is probably not it, because the "roof" part is shorter than this one. I will have to post a photo of it with the top up, to get a better idea of what it might be.

I'm thinking, perhaps if I posted photos of the hardware, that might be familiar to someone. The lever/handle to un-clip it from the front visors is definitely a factory item, but for what car? If I put a picture up of it, perhaps someone will recognize it as maybe one from a LeBaron or something, or maybe someone will have seen it before in a car they've owned.

At least if I know what make it is, that will narrow down what it is. I do know it has to be something that was available prior to 1991.

Will post pictures shortly.
