Default Viper.. Should I?

I'm considering jumping ship for a 95 viper with 16K miles on it. I wanted to know from current/past owners or if you have friends with vipers what your opinions on the car. How much faster than my vr4, night a day? Parts supply.. What breaks.... Btw, I'm trading my vr4 for $12k.. is this low?

$12k is low compared to what you could sell for...but expected for a trade value.

Go for it, Viper is in a class of its own. Hold value like crazy too. If you can swing it, there's no question.

How many miles you have on your car? I sold my '99 SL for 12k (to a private party, no trade).

RT or GTS? Hopefully GTS. RTs are too plain.

I was never impressed with them until I saw one in person. Totally awesome looking cars, especially once you see how large their rear tires are.

Before you jump, call your Insurance Co and see what insurance cost is. The one piece hood on a 1st gen is a $15K replacement!

Think Miata with a longer hood to incorporate a 8 litre v10 and fat 345 tires in the rear which you can still light up at will.

Up till the c6z06 there was never really a comparison. I mean magazines would compare them but all you have to do is drive a c5 and then a viper and then the comparison just seems laughable. Oh and thats from the perspective of driving a GTS and ACR. Not too giddy on the rt as never drove one of those.
