The title is pretty self explanatory. This fuckin sucks. I took my car in to the dealership on thursday, got it back on friday with a BRAND NEW transfer case (current one was leaking, they decided to replace it since the recall was performed in 2003). Going about 50mph thru a turn, straightened out, then the wheels lock up, steering wheel locks, and I know I'm completely fucked. I knew I was either gona hit everything, or miss everything. Unfortunately... it hit- and it hit HARD. The entire drivetrain, and even the steering wheel seemed like it locked up, started sliding, hit a concrete post/pole, a light, curb, trees, a few steps, destroyed a few lawns, and hit the side of a house. There was property damage too. Fortunately, there were NO cars and NO people outside. I am VERY thankful for that. The car is a total wreck, it's definately unfixable. The impact caused the firewall to shift back, causing the windshield to break, both airbags deployed. The motor completely shifted, I can't even identify all the leaks, the AC compressor exploded and there's frion everywhere, alternator is toast, my IC's look like aluminum foil, bomex lip was shattered into 100 pieces, headlight is non existent, radiator is all bent up, frame is bent, it seems like at least 2 wheels are damaged beyond repair, front suspension is bent like I've never seen before, the passenger strut POPPED OUT and is now sticking out of the fucking fender, all cross members are bent... all because of a damn TC lockup. The crash bar absorbed all the impact from the concrete and brick post/block, and literally saved my life. If I didnt have the crash bar installed on my car, I would bet my fuckin life that the motor would have pushed the dash/steering wheel into my body.
I got the car back on Friday afternoon, drove it about 30-40 miles total- then it fuckin locked on my ass on saturday. In the 3½ years I've owned the car, I've never even scratched the damn thing. NEVER has it been in ANY sort of accident- it was literally flawless, as most of you guys know. Paint was immaculate (original paint), motor and transmission were PERFECT at the time- no issues whatsoever. The car looked, felt, and drove like a dream. On a positive note, my friend and I both came out without a scratch. I was obviously a little shooken up, and so was he- but no harm done at all. Live and learn... but why the hell did it have to end this way? If everything happens for a reason- what explains this? I've pampered this car since the moment I owned it, and now look what happens to me. I cant EVER remember not having control over the car while I owned it- this was definately a first. The wheels never locked up, steering was always fine- I would have never imagined this to happen- but now it's a reality. If you're gona flame for some stupid fuckin reason, DONT POST AT ALL. I'm an emotional wreck right now, and I dont wana deal with the dumbasses on this forum. I'm posting this to let you guys know that shit could happen, even if it comes out of a MITSU DEALERSHIP. You could bet your ass I'm gona have my fuckin insurance (AAA) take Mitsu to court for this shit, or at least agree on something prior to taking it to court. If that doesnt work, I'm gona hire a fuckin lawyer. Comments, suggestions, anything- would be suggested. EVEN AFTER ALL THIS- I'm still gona buy another VR4. This time around, I could gaurantee you it's gona be bigger, badder, faster, and more badass than the first one. My car always impressed the hell out of me... but this was a complete shock to my friends, family... and most of all- to me. -Allen

Allen, even after talking to you about this the past 2 nights... Reading that post brought a tear to my eye. I'm really sorry bro. Your car was definitely one of my favorites on this board.
Gorgeous, fast, everything very tastefully done. A true example of what a 3S should be. I'll never get rid of any of the high-res pictures or videos you've sent me over the past year. With that said, I can't wait to see the new VR4. Kick ass, bro. -Adam

That sucks man, I am really sorry... it makes me want to cry just looking at it. So what the hell did the stealership do to your car?! Did they forget to refill the T-Case? I'd say somebody owes you a new VR4.
