Default TOB chattering

Not in a 3S but in my S13; I'm just wondering what the damaging effects of this are? Is it fine leaving it as is, or should I change the TOB?

The TOB isn't chattering/knocking TOO bad, but it sounds like somewhat quiet rod knock until the clutch is pressed in. I've certainly heard worse, but it certainly doesn't sound good.

Default Re: TOB chattering

it can last for a couple of weeks or a couple of months with little noticeable effect.

it's been my experience that everything will seem ok... until it stops making noise... and then it can get really bad pretty quickly

so after having learned this lesson (twice), i now change them shortly after they start making noise and recommend others do the same. this can avert potential catastrophe
