Heh. I had a bitch of a time winding those springs, and the first time I didn't get them wound all the way around properly. Imagine my surprise when my car wouldn't return to idle! It wouldn't be so bad if it were just one spring...
I like to draw a line across all coils of the outer spring before disassembly. Then when putting it back together you just wind it until the marks you made form a line again. Simple

I did it without unspringing the coil at all
Wire tied it as it sat so it never lost tension

Cheater.

REAL Men let the spring take two, three, hell maybe even TEN chunks out of their hands...just to prove the springs don't scare 'em!

I just did this now and it fixed the leak hissing!!!!

Bad thing is...the car wont accelerat or hold a constant RPM. If I hold it about 20% thorttle it will act like normal...then all of a sudden its like the power gets cut..then keeps doing that.

If I do it WOT it will do the same thing, just at the higher RPM...it will cut in and cut out.

It still idles the same, right around 1000rpm but after each time I turn it back on and see if I fix it...by the time im done the idle is at 1500 to 2000...I am just stumped!

I fix one thing and screw up another!!

anyone have any sugjestions? Is it possible to put the butterly in the wrong way and have it opening up backwords? Even soo...it doesnt seem like that would matter since its still opening and letting the air through.
