Quick Tease of my Single Turbo 3000GT Vr4 2nd gear pull car needs tuning and me fixing the methanol so it starts spraying. Same motor that was out of 97 ST ATX SL except running 14.5 psi this time and AWD lol
So whoever said MP T70 wasn't a good turbo think again there must have been something really wrong with your set-up
Will get Dyno pulls and more Highway pulls once my new rims and tires come in next week plus methanol working. My AFR is at 10.3 , 10.7 sometimes so I still have a lot room. In this video I believe my AFR was 10 flat or 10.1 at wot lol

I had a T70 at one point, no one liked the setup and dogged the piss out of it. If it wasn't for a tree falling on it I'd still have it too. Nice video

Usually people who didnt like it either had a shitty set-up or had some real bad issues with their car. What AR was your T70
10.1 AFR... lol but the motor itself was original 2nd gen 10:1 but was rebuilt and bored out more so I think it's 10:4 now. Here's the craziest thing it cost me 5500 4 years ago to have this motor done. But only recently I found my friends brother who worked at the shop used all real nice parts in the build when they did it. So he says it was all forged but Idk lol
So wait, let me get this straight......you mean to tell me your running 14 psi on an old school garret (now mp) p-trim t70 on an NA motor? Sad day....... At least swap in the tt powder forged pistons for some durability and knock punishement......
Not to mention you can actually run enough boost to make a t70 worthwhile, your no where near the compressors efficiency range nor are you going to ever get close with those glass pistons. At this stage, a gt35 offers a better powerband and efficiency for the psi your running and are able to for now...
Other than that and the sideways camera with no shot of what the speedo did, congrats on getting it going! It looked ok for what it is with the boost your running and afr. What A/R on the exhaust? When does it hit full tilt on yours?

14.5 PSI Master Power T70 .68AR same turbo as my old turbo Atx set-up over 300 hard pulls. I think I built my turbo set-up in 2009 or 2010. I have to fix my speedo I built this car from nothing it was a shell when I got it. Keep in mind this is running really rich on WOT without my methanol. I see full boost as my last set-up at 4.5k. With a really nice tune I can see it early as 4k. Also big key to having your car from blowing shit is running cooler so I use Koyo rad after market big fans and a switch to control them. My car never goes above 220 usually stays around 180-200

4K+ to reach full boost? 9B's for the win!!! LOL, just kidding. A better radiator can't hurt, but if it's gonna blow because it's not 8:1 and you are running to much boost, then it's probably still gonna blow anyway...at least I would think... but I'm no expert.
