F that.
its really isnt that bad... as rebel said above. that is how i did it.
will post pics later today as well as a video of the car idling. it idles fine no problems what-so-ever. without the anti-stall kit i was horrible though.

Does the anti-stall kit come with the BOV or do you have to buy it seperate?
Re: Synapse Synchronic BOV Installed- Short Vid and Pics Inside!
ok so i hooked up the other port and it sounds even better. but my car is starting to hesitate now. Think it might be my SAFC 2 since i haven't really messed with it yet.
Re: Synapse Synchronic BOV Installed- Short Vid and Pics Inside!
Whats the difference between this valve and an HKS BOV. That valve has spring tension you can adjust so it stays closed in vacuum (your anti-stall feature), and boost pressure keeps it shut. If you want it operating like stock, you loosen the tension on the spring and recirculate it. When Supras flutter, its because the tension is set too high on the spring because they are run open loop. Whats special about this valve to me is that it gets a quicker signal to vacuum because your using the line from the plenum and when the throttle is shut, its going to immediately return to vacuum on that side of the throttle plates, meanwhile if you have one vacuum/boost source, it has to go boost to vacuum which takes time when you use the port in the y-pipe. It seems like its better just to use a plenum vacuum source for the other valves
Re: Synapse Synchronic BOV Installed- Short Vid and Pics Inside!
Not quite sure what you're getting at, but I will explain it the way I think it works lol. There are a total of three ports on the BOV. Two on top and one on the side. The top two get a plenum source and under vac will PULL the valve open. The one on the side is a boost only line and will PUSH the valve open with the boost pressure still in the pipes. Pulling and pushing at the same for a quicker valve response.
Re: Synapse Synchronic BOV Installed- Short Vid and Pics Inside!
Got a question for you guys that have this, well not really a question but a weird discovering with the Synapse BOV . I have one of these installed on my car and just got my car started for the first time. I'm running it open to atmosphere. Got the car started and doing the normal checking for leaks, etc when I noticed the bov was 'Blowing Air" out of it. I was like WTF.....I didn't have the boost source hooked up so we attached a line to that but it still did it. Tried tightening the adjustment screw and no difference.
THEN I went to their web site/forum and they say this is normal for it to be blowing out air. Definitely weird as we weren't used to seeing that. Oh and they also have a thread where they say there's no need for a air filter on it as it's always blowing air during idle and cruising and can't sucking it in.
Re: Synapse Synchronic BOV Installed- Short Vid and Pics Inside!
I read that too as far as air blowing out. I see no problem with it as long as you are speed density. I am anal though and will put a filter on it if I ever decide to vent. It is supposed to hang open as part of the "better" design for quicker throttle response. Something about the engine not having to suck air through the turbo and piping restrictions. Which would mean it is indeed sucking in air at certain points right when the throttle is opened....
