Default Swap 2G stealth rear bumper onto 1G stealth

Hey guys, I have a 92 Stealth R/T NA. Can I swap out the 1st gen rear bumper cover with a 2nd gen Stealth R/T rear bumper cover? Is this a fairly easy swap or is it more involved? Thanks!

If you have the 3KGT type tails (Base and ES Stealths), it will require some work. If you have the Stealth type tails, it should be a bolt on.

I did it 5 years ago, before the trend kicked in. If you add the wheel well splash guards from a 2G, it will bolt up perfectly.

yeah I had the same issue going from stealth to 3000gt, the splash guards in the fender wells of the 1g are different than those of the 2g so they wont line up great unless you get the 2g splash guards. On my stealth when I converted it, I just cut the splash guards shorter so they didn't look out of place and they still mostly do their job

Also you are going to need the plastic bar which connects the bottom of the bumper to the subframe of the car. Without it the bumper doesn't look right since it sags in the middle. Also you should get the 2nd gen splash shields like others have said. Basically it is bolt on with the 3 plastic pieces.

Good choice of a mod... I love my 2nd gen rear bumper on my 1st gen. I'm still undecided about doing sideskirts and door panels as well.

lol..what trend???? 2nd r/t's rear bumpers are hard to come by for starters..and i have only seen a handful of people convert from 1st gen to 2nd gen r/t rear ends...correct if i am wrong..i think going from 1st gen to 2nd gen on the r/t rears the 1st gen gas tank will hang down a bit?
