Well you could adjust them pretty easy with these and this.

Even without EDFC you can adjust coilovers softness in under a minute with the turn of a knob on each coilover.

Adjusting height takes more effort.

Some people feel the softest setting still isnt soft enough.

One thing to keep in mind is that typically the Japanese coilover systems have a very narrow range of damping adjustment and are meant for one certain spring rate, meaning that you can't usually go to a softer spring without hurting your handling. And since they just don't adjust much, if you don't like the ride they give, oh well, you're stuck with it.

The European school of thought for coilover design is to give a very large adjustment range, meaning that you can actually go from comfort to track-stiff by just turning a few nobs. And you can also use different rate springs without a big negative effect.

To see what I mean, find the Sport Compact Car issue from a couple months ago when they tested a bunch of coilovers on S2000s. They show all of the empirical data and the Euro designs almost universally had a lot larger adjustment range.

that's interested about the euro/japanease approach....i'll check into that...

i'm not worried about adjusting heigh easily..once that's set, i'm not going ot mess with it..i'd just like to be able to adjust the dampening easily....

basically i'm not looking to spend a fortune..i just want something that rides as good as stock did in tour mode or better...the intrax springs basically put my car in sport mode all the time...and now sport mode is like granite mode

You arent going to find aftermarket suspension that rides like stock tour mode.

Although this might be out of your price range, it might be worthwhile looking for some JIC's with tender springs. The tender springs will absorb the smaller annoying bumps with ease you'll still have the larger springs to help with handling.

Well, it actually is possible to find an aftermarket suspension that rides better than stock on tour mode, but you'ld have to try contacting a company like Ohlins for a custom sprung/valved setup. Cost would be approximately $5-$12k.
