Default Stock Rev Limter ?? How far can you go.

I was wondering how far you could take stock internals safley? 7800?

Turbo bob's stage 1 takes the rev limit to 8060...when I've seen it discussed before, most people seem to feel that 8,000rpm or so is relatively safe on stock internals.

i have heard that 8000 is safe too

pretty sure from what I have heard if you start pushing to 8300 or so you can have some valve float on the stock valve train.

I can't see the need to rev past 8000 on most street setups anyway. You'll need some big turbos and cams to make power revving higher than that.

The only reason I'd want to raise my rev limit considerably is so that I could maybe get a little use out of first and second gear...they went too fast to handle with 15Gs, I can't imagine how short a time I'll spend in them with the 16Gs...if I ever get my car finished.
