But if each gets its best street tune on pump gas then the td05 should have
at least a 30 whp advantage maybe more between these 2 cars anyway.
And part of the best street tune would be lifting the RMP limit to 8,000RPM
on the td05.

These cars should both run on the same dyno before race day with their best street tune then post their dyno charts then redo the poll.

It is though. Our cars do not transition well compared to others as it just resists the back end coming around. Once you get a feel for it you learn to rely on that factor and then you really appreciate and take advantage of that difference compared to other makes. Slow in and hard out. Not so good at the in but we have a killer out.

Exactly, especially since he's got DR Stg 3 heads with Street cams. If he was running stock cams, it might not be that significant but with the street cams and the e16g's, Tommy's car could potentially pull hard well into the 8000+ rpm region. I'm also curious to see what Bob's 19T's can do with a raised redline. His HP line doesn't look like it has quite the same potential to keep pulling the way Tommy's does at higher rpms. Since they both have DR Stg 3 heads with DR Street Cams, that means they already have the spring kits that would allow 8300-8400 rpm redlines.

That would make it even more fun, to see if the TD04's can match the TD05's powerband with a raised rpm limit and to see if the TD04's quicker spool is a match for the increased powerband the TD05's can take advantage of with a higher redline.

I am just thinking that in a drag situation, the quick spool isnt going to be an issue. What makes them fun is on the street when you dont have time to drop a gear or when your cruising in 1st and 2nd at low rpms and need to just gun it and go. Lags a bitch when the vette next to you just goes WOT and your in 4th at 3000rpm and you gotta waste 1/2 second to grab 3rd......vettes gone already

Yeah i just hate the fact a puegot beat us, then again i should be happy we were even accepted concerning the compared us to ferrari and porsche with us being 1 of 3 japanese cars, nsx and skyline being the other 2. Anyways any news if the td05 is going to drop down in HP to match the tdo4 or they going to stay at the 30 hp difference. This may help me decide to upgrade to td04 or td05's. This thread showed up right before i made the decision so i guess i had some luck.

I could see limiting them to pump gas, but come on - what's the point of limiting power? Let each turbo show where it accels.
