so 2 of my cousins recently bought srt4's. One of them is on 20lbs and the other is sto'clock 14psi. They pulled up next to me going about 30 and we took off. I got beat by both of them. Why the hell are glorified neons beating me?
Not matter How high I crank the nob for my boost it always peaks out at 6 . And I have No o2 sensors, I can smell How rich it is burning. I don't know What's going on here.

I *could* be wrong... but I though a car goes into "limp" mode with no o2 sensors. I really don't even know how your car would run correctly without o2 sensors. I would get that fixed and change the oil. I bet your oil smells like gas.
But the SRT4 are very mod friendly from my understanding.
My lil SRT-4 was fun to mod! She's @ 417 to the wheels now and pulls nice and hard.

change your oil before you spin a bearing. Too rich can also fuck up your compression. Get your o2 sensors back in and get your car running right, 6psi of boost your only making 180hp, if that, because your running so rich your prob way less.
change oil. change )2's and get a MBC set to 14PSI. hot wire the stock fuel pump and go say whats up to them again.. how did you think were you going to beat them with 6PSI and no 02's..

First of all you dont need o2 sensors if you have an safc and wideband. If stock and you dont know what you are doing, definitely put them back in. Its good to have them. Secondly get a manual boost controller and real boost gauge and turn to 13-14psi. Get a datalogger and free mmcd software to watch for knock. It comes around 13-14psi. Change oil and do maintenance as well like others said. A srt4 should be beating you from a slow roll like that. Get them down even slower in 1st or at like 45 in second. Or better yet, do it from a dead stop. However, like a highway roll if the srt4 has some power you might be out of luck. I have raced some 500whp srt4s in my fwd tt back in the day and from a 70 roll they are stout. Highway rolls are inconsistent and someone always has the sweet spot in gearing over the other. Tell them drag racing starts from 0 and ends at 1/4 mile and see how you do after you fix some issues. Some basic mods might be needed in your future though for sure, just get the car healthy first. And beat those neons..
