Default Shaking Problem

I have a 1993 Mit 3000 GT SL which I have owned for 8+ years. It started occassionally shaking/shuddering when I stop at a traffic light, or shift into reverse while parallel parking. I paid a mechanic to find the problem and he couldn't.

Has anyone else had this problem, or know what it might be and how to fix it?

Thank you!
Wyld

my3kgtvr4- You most likely warped rotors.

sounds like warped rotors if its when you are stopping and you feel it in the steering wheel.

either warped rotors or perhaps a broken bolt in the braking system, holding the caliper to the bracket etc etc, also you'll get a vibration when driving if you have bent wheels.

When it shakes like hell, what are your rpms? 400? that would explain why its shaking.

Mine does that if when I shift in reverse sometimes I get really low idle.

could be heat spots on the rotors, look for blued patches. could also be the one way valve sticking on the brake helper pipe off the back of the plenum

I think he mean trasmission shake when he stop at a traffic light and then starts to move or when put reverse to park and start to move ??

If so I've exact same problem here after clutch change, but it seems that most of the shake come from the under center/rear part so i'm going to change driveshaft carrier bearings hope it helps
