ok so i have severly scratched windows its very noticable and makes it hard to see, i can tell its due to the plastic weather stripping being broken and pushing up against my glass, i know a guy by me who can do a tint for me at a great price,
do i need to swap my windows? or can i get them fixed some how? also i need to change the weather stripping but dont know where to get it? |

if you have window coverage on your insurance i would break your window and get it replaced for free then get it tinted, thats what i did. i know it's wrong and i felt bad, but i have no scratched tinted windows

)since the scratches are on the outside they didn't affect the tinting at all, and the windows actually look better since you can't see through them as easily, it camouflages the srcratches a bit lol |

Another alternative is to give a glass polishing kit a try. Eastwood Company: Auto Tools, Body Repair, Classic Car Restoration, House of Kolor Paint, Powder Coating has a kit that is supposed to get anything from light scratches to deep scratches out. I have a good sized scratch on my passenger side window, so I'm willing to test the kit out sometime this summer.
