Default rear mounted engine?

has anyone tried to put the engine in the back like a mr2?
someone at school thought my engine was in the back for a while, but with the fwd and awd setup it would be pretty pointless...
so my question really is i guess, did anyone take a 3/s and make it rwd AND rear mount the engine?

It would be cool...but very much not worth the effort. It would be a LOT of work and you'd end up with an inferior car. Can you imagine how much that would change the weight balance? It would totally fuck you in a front end collision. Not to mention losing AWD and the noise and dangers associated with the engine being in the passenger compartment and hundreds of other problems that could be overcome but totally not worth the effort in my opinion.

I thought someone posted some pics of a pos looking 3kgt. I was maroon and was suppose to kinda look like a Ferrari. I could have sworn the engine was in the back, maybe not though.

the real thing to do is to add another engine in the back, keep the front one, LOL.

There was a really nice photoshop of one floating around at one point. Obviously a photoshopped pic, but it was very well done.

yea, i thought it would be pretty cool, we've got so much trunk space i think someone could do it. they'd have to strengthen the front though for front-end impact
