I never have a problem stopping with my brakes. Usually after a pass I'll slow down to 85-90, throw it in 6th, and let it coast down. The stock computer kills the fuel in that situation and the engine will dump whatever heat is in it as quickly as possible.

So yeah...I don't see a need to upgrade my brakes any more than I already have (prterfield pads & cryoed rotors). Granted I'm over 400 pounds lighter than the 4000 lb (with driver) stock setup they were designed for and I'm just drag racing. One hard stop every 40 minutes isn't a big deal.

Well...actually...one of the only things I still want is Wilwood ultralight rotors and aluminum hats (direct replacement for the heavy stock rotors). But nobody has marketed a set with a sane price yet. I'm a litle concerned that the ultralights will be too light for street use but I'd be willing to try them and step up to something heavier if they complain.

Cool! Well that's all I needed to know then I guess.

Thanks for you're response Trevor.... and congratulations again on your recent success'.

You said you have your Meth pump hotwired, is that thru a relay that is triggered by ACC? Is it running all the time?

How is your pump wired?
I guess your VC25 control wire goes only to the pressure switch ontop of the pump?
does that need a ground? or does it share the pumps ground?

I thought about having the pump triggered on by a relay conected to my BAP.
Dosent the BAP hobbs switch connect at 1psi? or something like that.
So I think my pump will normaly be off, then at 1psi come on, then at 8psi the controller will open the pressure switch on the pump.

does that sound like a good idea?

Power for my meth pump comes from the auxilliary power system I have under my dash. 10 gauge off the battery, thru a 30A relay, and into a terminal block that distributes power to all my aftermarket stuff. 10 gauge from the block, thru the progressive controller, and straight to the pump motor (bypassing the pressure switch in the pump all-together). The pump motor grounds to the body via 10 gauge at the same place as the BAP and fuel pump.

The pressure switch is not required for use in an aux injection system like we're using it for. These Shurflo pumps were all originally engineered to pump water in campers and motorhomes while recieving constant power. Turn on the faucet, the pressure drops, and the pump switches on. Turn off the faucet, pressure goes up, and the pump shuts off. Since you're only feeding it power when you want alcohol you don't need the pressure switch.

Buy a progressive controller if you'd like to make tuning easier. Tuning a big shot of alcohol that turns on full blast at low boost pressure can make life way more difficult than it needs to be.

i see, you confused me when you said your pump was hotwired.
now I have to go rewire everything, haha.
I wanna see this "auxilliary power system". Sounds cool.
I have the VC-100, so hopefully its wont be difficult.

I will say this: It's a touchscreen display and it's pretty pimp. That's just one feature adder. There are others too.

Also, who the hell asked if VP C16 was better than 100 octane?

I agree on the ass statement, that is their diesel version. Thats exactly what I wanted to hear, that their not just transferring over the truck unit with a few changes...pimp is good.

Trevor, the alen screw on the pump, how deep inside the pump is your set for max pressure?
I started tightening mine, waiting for some resistance but it just kept going, it was about 1/2" up in there, almost too far for the short side of my allen wrench to reach.
I called Snow and they said ALL their pumps come set to max, and that by going too far I have actualy reduced the max pressure and might have stripped the plastic threads on the pump.
How old is your 220 pump? whats the pat# on it?
they were also telling me that the older 220 pumps used to come set at 150 but not anymore.

actualy, can I have a copy of your fuel map. Mabey a screen shot or something I can easily open?
I think if I pull the same amount of fuel you are pulling then tuning this Meth will be soo much easier.

thanks in advance

Well...news to me.

My 220 psi pump is old enough to be one of the ones that was set low. Matter of fact mine came with a sheet telling me to crank it up thru the roof.

Every car is different. My map probably won't match up to your car.

If you want it anyway PM me your email address.
