If I'm not mistaken, that 75 psi figure is not a limit for the injectors, it was a limitation of the fuel pump that could not supply any more pressure above 75psi.

Different animal. This was specific for fuel injector operating pressures.

Some fuel pumps will do 140-150 psi while still flowing decent numbers. Of course they're huge/expensive external race pumps but you get the jist. Even Walbro's don't dead head until 120-130 psi.

I'm not getting one if that tells you anything.

There's so many more things that amount of money can do for you.

What about modifying the stock manifold to accept a larger throttle body? You could move the throttle body a bit further from the runners to increase the volume of the plenum as well. Could be a very cheap, effective way to pick up a few HP.

I don't think there's enough meat on the stock manifold to throw on a 90mm or anything like that.

I'm using the stock runners on my setup though, modified of course, but basically I'm cutting the surge tank off and fitting a bigger, better designed one, on there.

As for doing 10's with not a lot of money...sure it's possible.

-Big cheap turbos (td05's, hell use adapter plates). ($1500-2000)
-Beefed up fuel system, (afpr, boost a pump, 660cc injectors at the least) ($600-900)
-fuel management system (a safc can do it, maft pro may be better ~$200-400)
-Nice clutch (6 puck may work, but if you need more holding power you may have to go dual disc, but you dont have to go c/c ~$500-1500)

That will probably do it.

Now you're not going to be as SAFE, or your engine isn't going to be as RELIABLE as people that put more money in (gobs of gauges, oil modifications, internals, $$ clutch), but you can hit 10's with that. Just turn up the boost.

99% of the people here area SCARED to turn up the boost. Good things happen after 16psi, and after 20psi, and after 25psi.

I plan on running my next setup to ~40psi on the current turbo.

But basically as with anything in life

speed/power
reliability
cheap

You can only pick two.

P.S. I will post up my modlist when my car is completed, but I'm going for the most reliable car I can with massive power. AFTER selling my entire td04 setup (that was pretty heavily modified) I'm not spending a whole lot of extra cash.

For $10k you can have a pretty reliable car that runs 10's.

Now I will say, when you start wanting to make over 700awhp or so, cost goes way up. Talking internals, very heavy duty clutch, and lots of preventative stuff to make sure the car doesn't blow.

Agreed... My next setup is being built to run 45-50 psi. More boost + great intercooling + more fuel = more power.

Do you have a current dyno graph? I looked at mellon's thread but I only saw the graph for your 14B setup.
