Anyone else have their Electronic ProSport gauge going nuts? Mines jumping between 80-100 psi and down to 0 then all over the place. What could be causing this?
mine was doing the same thign for bout a month...the it worked fine...seem to act up more once the sensor get hot or warm..i call prosport...several times..and they said it was my wiring...i assured them that it was installed as per there instructions..you can buy a replacement sensor and it should fix the issue..

I checked all the wiring and everything was tight and in place, ground was good and so was the sensor wire, but I am running 10w30 oil in there like pkchino said, I may try something diffrent to see if that has an effect.
Burned, so true. Prosports have enough issues on this board alone. Let's not even get into other boards. Some of the people who buy them have no idea how fast a gauge needle is supposed to move with respect to changes in data. It's appalling how slow the boost gauge reacts to pressure changes.
a good rule of thumb is that your boost gauge should match what what you're hearing when YOU press the gas pedal. my guess is that people with prosport boost gauge have come to think that slow needles is normal. IT IS NOT.
slow prosport (notice how it's slow to get to atmospheric pressure even when he hammers it WOT)
then why dont we see hundreds of threads on JUST THIS FORUM about greddy or defi gauges acting funny?
because anyone can buy these prosports where anyone picking up a Defi usually is savvy enough to check the wiring.
Also, I can bet you anything that there are more prosports running around on this forum than Defi lately.
I know I've read some problems on the electric boost guage, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of oil pressure gauges that weren't fixed by checking the wiring.

how long has prosport been out? what about greddy/defi? im willing to bet theres more greddys and defis out there.
last i checked we had VERY FEW complaints about gauges not working before prosport but now once these prosport things start selling they pop up. coincidence? i think not.
