Yea Jeff gave me the info I needed so it definitely looks like this project will take a slightly different direction.

Mike, thanks for all the info, I just hope that I made a wise choice with the Master Power T70. We'll see how it performs and at the very least this will be a thread on what turbo not to get hahaha. I think it will do well. I'm going to make sure that its performance is well documented here.

Well, those that have ordered and run the MPT70 on other forums seem happy with it. There are a few N/A-T guys running them, browse Club NA-T and have a look. I don't think it will be a bad turbo for our platform, I think you'll be very pleased. The consensus on this turbo from the 2jz crowd seems to be that she's slow spooling (relative to the 61/67) but has massive potential for making good/high hp. 500hp shouldn't be a problem here bro...others have already done it with less mods (albeit a different engine configuration).

It's cool little brother, if not for your prayer I'd be A LOT worse off. I just want to make sure that you aren't repeating my mistakes. I'll do some more research on the MP T70 this weekend..there appear to be minor differences in the wheels, etc.

Well.... i've test driven mine and it seems to pull decently at low boost for now (10 psi). im stuck more or less at wastegate boost until i get some bigger injectors. spool seems to be around the 3800-4000 range from what i can tell, but then again im not exactly staring at the gauge by my radio and the tach and the road at the same time. so i may be 500 rpm off

Anyway i think you'll have similar results for spool if you went with the smaller hotside. I can already tell my turbo is begging to be turned up.

Thanks Jeff I really appreciate it. What did you do about the rear manifold? Just a U bend to direct it down?

i just did a pipe straight down from the manifolds to a 90 degree bend which curved under my tcase and then another 90 bend which got it going twords the front of the car. Obviously you can smooth it out a bit with some gradual bends probably.

I honestly do not remember if the n/a has a cross member there or not.... i know the awd 3Ss do and i had to ditch mine just like the IPS kit so i could run my rear exhaust pipe striaght up near the front motor mount by the transmission.

id say try not run anything more than 2.25 inch piping as you dont wanna loose the velocity of the exhaust gasses before they get to the turbo as this setup will rely on the heat and the force of the exhaust gasses unlike normal turbo setups that rely on the heat and expanding gasses to get the turbine moving.

I Took the car out again last night and at a 40 mph roll at about 4k i can brake boost and get full boost and take off like a batt out of hell. now if i nail it at 4k i wont get boost till about 4500. i think i start building boost at about....4200-4300ish and it hits at 4500. this is all with the .96 hotside

Hmm I guess I am confused cuz the rear turbo mani points up in stock form. Did you use another front manifold for the rear? I was going to use 2.5" piping because I had already purchased 2.5" VBand Clamps but if this is the case then I will have to sell those clamps and buy 2" clamps instead....

Yea me too man lol. Production of the turbo kit is under way haha. I will be rolling by tomorrow to deliver the awesome 4" exhaust that my bro Mike sent my way as well as working out a few more logistics about how everything will fit/work. My charcoal canister has gone bye bye and so have my fans lol. I have flex-a-lite's now lol. Right when you think that you're done spending money, something comes to bite you in the rear lol. I'll have lots of pics and maybe some video for you guys tomorrow. Stay tunes and sorry again for all the delays lol...
