However, the MP T70 seems to be more along the lines of the GT4294 but again, we will all find out relatively soon. I sure hope it is cuz they are not too expensive especially compared to a Garrett or precision product.
I can post the links and quotes later for you if you want. They had flow maps and such for the 67 v. 40r

Update ( 8/13/08 )

As some of you know, I headed up to the shop today upon the good news that the transmission was finally in and it was time to start working on fabrication of the turbo setup.

When I got there, Eric had already started trying to figure things out as to how to route everything. We had debated debated doing a driver's side Intake setup but for the sake of time and cost effectiveness, we decided that it wasn't too great of an idea at this time. I remember that I saw this picture a while back on 3si:

I was thinking of trying to route the charge pipe like that around the side so that the turbo would be between the intake pipe and the block but yea...it definitely is not going to work like that. There just isn't enough room. So we decided to push the turbo out to the left side, angle it so that it slants towards the passenger headlight and to allow the original piping to pretty much go back the way it was. Here's a pic of how the cool side piping was when I was TT:

We are pretty much going to keep the intake pipe where it is and route the charge from the turbo through the 2.5" IC piping in the front of the engine bay. Ofcourse we will move the battery permanently to the back and figure out something with the fuse box.

Finally here are the pics from today. The only thing we did was move the turbo about 6" back towards the read of the engine bay:

And here's my baby after we pushed her out for a few moments to get Kyle's car on the lift.

It's jacked up I know but it still brings a smile to my face haha. Now it's just time to install those intrax springs

Heh, ive got a much simpler setup that keeps the length of the piping down and allows you to keep your A/C, ps, cruise, and heater, you dont have to move the fuse box, and wont melt shifter cables!!!!!

Let me know if you want pics. Personally i think the turbo over the trans setups are just a cluster fuck and you get tons of heat just sitting under the hood there and heat soaking the charge piping that supposed to be cooled down from the IC, not to mention you running a downpipe for the over the trans setup is a PAIN and has TONS of bends and possibly notching the subframe.

Jeff, send me those pics cuz I would love to keep the piping short and still get away with keeping stuff as cool as possible.

Link to great discussion on Supra Forums:

T61 vs T67 - Supraforums.com

Some have considered the GT35r:

TurboByGarrett.com - Catalog

Honestly I hear great things about it from the Evo guys, but I think when I turbo my new car I'm going with a 40r myself

+1.

Maybe last year I could still understand the turbo over the trans idea... Maybe. Today though? There are SO many set-ups floating utilizing far superior turbo location.

Example Adam? I've only ever seen the turbo in these cars over the trans and in front of the engine.
