how do i remove the power steering components

undo the belt, remove the lines, take out the pump, remove the cooler, remove the reservoir.

but can i just remove the p/s belt and thats it, the reason im trying to do this, is because i have some loud noise coming from the engine and i just wanted to rule out the p/s pump

Then just take off the belt and the pump will stop turning. If the noise goes away you know its the pump...
