Unforeseen dichotomy.

Popping out of first gear?
Hey guys, I decided to post this over here, even though its on my 350Z, because this is a way better forum than my350z.com.
Anyway, took my 350z to the track this weekend, and when launching, sometimes it was popping out of first gear. Was getting some bad wheel hop, and I was on street tires. Something else that may be related is that when I push in the clutch, and put the shifter into first, the car will roll forward a few inches, because I actually let out the clutch. Aside from those two things, the transmission seems to function perfectly. Any thoughts?

I'm not a tranny expert but I have seen problems like this where the shaft in the transmission has to much movement....like crank walk. However you should not be having that problem on a car that new.
