Default Piece of crap AEM AFPR

I figured out why my car wasn't starting today which turned out to be a bad diaphragm on on AEM AFPR. There was a serious amount of fuel in my vac lines and hopefully it didn't make it into my intake plenum. I've only had this on the car for about 2 months, you'd think the AEM brand would carry a better build quality then that.

After searching some online I realized that this seems to be a pretty common problem. AEM won't respect the warranty unless you send the it to them and have them look at it first which is a PITA. All they sell is a rebuild kit which includes the orifices, diaphragm, and the o-ring but it costs 45 +shipping. Talk about a rip.

So have any of you gone though this as well and is there a cheaper solution? I wish I could buy a few of the diaphragms and keep a spare in my car for the next time it leaks. Maybe one of you vendors has a box of these sitting in your shop?
