ABS can not make traction that isn't there you just half to be more careful and know the limits of the car a little better if your running it hard without ABS.
And the information on that site is all very nice. But they forget to explain that only a douchedragon locks the wheels when braking.
It also doesn't discuss the improvements in and evolution of ABS systems. The 3/S ABS sucks: it intervenes no where near impending lockup, particularly in wet road conditions. Now, modern Porsche ABS, on the other hand, is as unintrusive as it gets. If we had ABS like that, I would probably keep it.

In my opinion--remember that this is the opinion of someone who's been ripping shit out of his car for over 2 years--the only "disadvantage" is that you have to be more careful when braking. Since the sole function of the ABS is to prevent lockup, it conceals many of our braking mistakes: Slamming the pedal during panic stops, abrupt braking during rain, etc.
With the ABS gone, your leg is the only thing controlling wheel lockup. If that's not a responsibility you (and I mean the general you here) want, retain your ABS. It's fairly easy to learn the lockup threshold by doing some decelerations on highway off-ramps or on back roads. You want to feel comfortable applying the maximum pressure to the pedal without locking the wheels (this is threshold braking).
Re: Pics of full ABS delete: Custom lines and Wilwood prop valve in center console
To add to Struggly's post, once you've done a lot of "spirited" driving, you start to get a feel for that point just before the wheels lock up. It's not something that I can really describe, you just feel it; the feedback through the pedal and steering wheel, it's like you can feel just as the tires start to lose traction. Once you're at that point, then just let off the pressure a tiny, tiny bit, keeping it right at that threshold.

Hmmm, so having the ABS is kinda worthless as it doesn't do what it's suppose to when it's suppose to. But removing it requires caution as if you dont know your braking points, you may cause yourself a mischief? Is the ABS on the US models the same as the JDM ABS? My ABS actually saved me from rear ending someone. Tho a 4 wheeler then plowed into my rear. But I was happy for the ABS then. I have never circuit raced my car or had a long street race, so constant use of my brakes has not happened as of yet. Is this an 'all round' kind of mod for all seasons - wet/dry - dd/race?
