So any ETACS from 95 and on will work? The dealer quoted me at like 350 bucks for that damn thing said it was special only for a 98. Lying bastards.

My version of CAPS (2.66) lists 9504.1 as the last date for that control, so I was assuming that it was good for all later models.

Maybe someone can either back me up or tell me I'm full of bulltwinkies!!!

But if you look at CAPS, they list an old part number, as well as the new one I gave you. You may have trouble finding anyone on this forum who knows the difference for sure. I don't understand what the $400 difference in price is about between MN156072 and MN156478. Doesn't really make sense.

The only solutions I can think of are to: 1. call some big mitsu dealers and ask them (rockville, mentor, etc) or 2. Just order MN156478 and find out first hand if this is exactly what you need.

Here is a quote from the threads I looked at:

"Someone posted the Mitsu part numbers for the replacement TC's under the current "B17" recall (see this thread).

Mits list three part numbers....
MN156477 5-speed small shaft
MN156478 5-speed large shaft
MN156479 6-speed
MN156006 Reseal kit"

This was from 3 years ago.
