Default Optima Yellow Top battery bubbling?

I have an Optima Yellow top battery that I have had for well over a year and has worked fine since I've had it. But since I haven't been driving my car at all, I've been monitoring it's voltage to make sure it wouldn't die completely. That is without it hooked up to the car. So I charged it a few days ago cause it was getting pretty low. After a few hours on the charger, it said it was pretty much fully charge so I took the charger off. As I did that I noticed a bubbling noise coming from the batt. It was not hot or smoking or leaking anything and is still holding a charge fine....so I'm wondering if that is a normal thing to happen, or is it pretty much screwed?

Did you buy the battery, do you have the receipt I believe its a 3 year free replacement and after that its pro-rated.

Optima Battery Warranties

It depends on what battery you have. The yellow tops are deep cycle im pretty sure. You can bring it to autzone and they will test the cranking amps and make sure its good.

If you bought it from Autozone or Advance you don't even need the receipt - just your phone #. They'll swap it right out for you.

did you charge by the instructions?

Recommended charging information:
Alternator:

13.65 to 15.0 volts, no amperage limit.
Battery Charger:

13.8 to 15.0 volts, 10 amps maximum, 6-12 hours approximate.
Cyclic Applications:

14.7 volts, no current limit as long as battery temperature remains below 125°F (51.7°C). When current falls below 1 amp, finish with 3 amp constant current for 1 hour.
Rapid Recharge:

Maximum voltage 15.6 volts (regulated), no current limit as long as battery temperature remains below 125°F (51.7°C). Charge until current drops below 1 amp.
Float Charge:

13.2 to 13.8 volts, 1 amp maximum current, time indefinite (at lower voltage).
All limits must be strictly adhered to.
